Attribute types

Attributes are the building blocks of a product. Create as many as your catalog needs, and choose a type based on how the value should be edited and used.

Types

• Short text for names, labels and codes
• Rich text for descriptions and other formatted content
• Integer and decimal for quantities, dimensions and measurements
• Yes / no for product flags
• Date for launches and availability
• Dropdown for one value from a fixed list of options
• Multi-select for several values from a list, such as tags or features
• Media for an image or file

Every product also has built-in fields: SKU, label, main image and GTINs.

Naming

Each attribute has a display name for your team and an internal name for the API and integrations. Change display names freely, but keep internal names stable, because integrations and API tools refer to them.

Families

Group related attributes into attribute families, such as Clothing or Electronics, to keep the product model organised as it grows.
